Work to deliver significant improvements to the road network at Protos is progressing well, as shown in the latest images from the development site.

Contractors have completed temporary measures along Grinsome Road – the private access road for Protos. They are now working to make permanent improvements by widening and resurfacing the carriageway. This work, partly funded by a loan from the North West Evergreen Fund, is essential as Grinsome Road will be the main access point during both the construction period and when Protos is operational.

A temporary access road within the site is also in place. This is being used by contractors who have now started to build the biomass facility, which will use waste wood to generate renewable energy.

The next edition of the Protos Community Newsletter, to be issued this month, will provide a further update on progress at the site and our next steps.
